Rolling Stone

Hey Guys,

Since the 12th I have been working as the new art department intern with the wonderful people over at Rollingstone Magazine. So far it's been pretty surreal to see how the other side of the business operates, but the people I have been working with, mainly Steven Charny, Matthew Cooley, Elizabeth Oh, Damian DeMartino, and Joseph Hutchinson have been really great. So be on the look out for more posts to come about the hectic world of Rollingstone, and thanks again to Bill Cotter for this gratutious hook up.

The Stranger

A few days ago the wonderful Aaron Huffman at The Stranger, Seattle's Only Newspaper, contacted me about using one of my images for their cover. We traded a few e-mails, and in a matter of minutes the deal was sealed.

Here is the original art, which started it's life as a personal piece.

Spring Street Studio

I've been getting back into the swing of figure drawing lately, thanks to the kind folks over the Spring Street Studio in SoHo. If you are looking for nice quiet place to log some model time, I recommend you head over. So expect plenty of future posts full of me showing off my prodigious abilities, but for now here is small preview.

New York Times Book Review

Nicholas Blechman, the incredibly easy going AD at the New York Times Book Review, e-mailed me a few days ago for an Illustration featuring the British novel Peripheral Vision by Patricia Ferguson and of course I accepted. It was a little rough for me as I basically had 48 hours to go from sketch to final, but all in all it worked out pretty well and in the end I had a ton of fun.

WORD Bookstore Window Display

Hello all, yesterday I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity set up a few of my plexiglass screen prints at my favorite bookstore WORD on 126 Franklin St in Greenpoint Brooklyn.


It's a great local bookstore, with an incredibly friendly staff, a nice selection, and incredible appearances by authors.


But what makes them even nicer is that they lend their front window to local artists for self promotion. So I took them up on it.
